Summary
QHSE officer role is concerned with The QHSE Officer is responsible for, maintaining and implementing Company Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Management System. The QHSE Officer will be fully responsible for implementing safe systems of work and safe behavioral practices at all levels of the organization. This position provides QHSE guidance to the organization and supports the operation process in order to maintain and continually improve the safety culture and performance, in line with the organization’s needs to comply with business objectives in the short, medium and long terms and in accordance with the terms of our various contracts and the Integrated Management System.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, etc.).
- Oversee HSE policies and procedures in offshore and onshore catering operations.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to maintain safety standards.
- Train staff on QHSE best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Investigate and report incidents and non-conformities with corrective action plans.
- Work closely with kitchen, housekeeping, and laundry teams to uphold high-quality service.
- Monitor vendor compliance for food and non-food supplies, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Ensure PPE compliance at all locations.
- Inspect storage conditions (temperature, humidity, hygiene) and refrigerated containers to maintain cold chain integrity.
- Supervise load-out processes to guarantee safe handling and compliance during transportation to offshore sites.
- Conduct risk assessments for warehousing activities, including pest control, chemical storage, and fire safety.
Requirements
- HND/B.Sc. in Engineering, Food Science Tech or Environmental Sciences .
- Minimum 3 years of QHSE experience in catering, hospitality, or food industry.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, food safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Certification in HSE, Food Safety (HACCP, ISO 22000), or related fields preferred.
- Experience working with oil & gas clients, vessels, rigs, or offshore sites is an advantage.
- Strong communication and training skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
